About the festival

"Asyl Besik - Aksuat" is an arts and sports festival held in the Aksuat district of the Abay region.

During the event, wrestlers will compete on the traditional wrestling mat, and true champions will be revealed in the grand horse races. As part of the festival, there will be a solo concert by the group "Kazakhsha Therapy", a theatrical performance titled "The World of Abai", and a gala concert featuring pop music stars.

Dinner at the Irgizbai Ata Mausoleum

Irgizbai Aulie is a saint who lived in the 18th century. The year of his birth is listed in the annals as 1787. According to the annual tradition, the Quran is dedicated to the spirit of Irgizbai Ata and food is served.

"Asyl Arlan" Kazakh wrestling tournament

A tournament among the country's most famous wrestlers in Kazakh wrestling. Athletes who have won titles in heavyweight and super heavyweight (oxen wrestlers, camel wrestlers) each year participate.

"Asyl Tulpar" competition

"Asyl Tulpar" is a competition among racehorses running at distances of 25, 15, and 7.5 kilometers

Agenda

The festival will begin with a ceremonial feast dedicated to the spirit of Yrgyzbay Ata. As part of the event, a traditional Kazakh wrestling tournament will take place featuring the nation’s renowned wrestlers in the categories of “Ox Warrior” and “Camel Warrior.” Horse races will also be held over distances of 25, 15, and 7.5 kilometers.

Guests will enjoy a solo concert by the group "Kazakhsha Therapy". The steppe theater will come to life with a captivating performance titled "The World of Abai."

The festival will conclude with a grand gala concert featuring the brightest stars of Kazakh pop music. Winners of the competitions will be awarded valuable prizes from the organizers and sponsors, including a car, cash prizes, and other honorary awards.
